Description
These Trinity Knot Stud Earrings for Children are from Solvar’s “Little Failte” or Children’s Collection. They are made of Sterling Silver and are 1/4″ long. There is a matching pendant, and when paired together they make a lovely set.
The trinity knot is an iconic symbol in Ireland, and over the years, many different interpretations have been given to the meaning of the trinity knot:
- It was said to represent the “triple” Pagan God of maiden, mother, and crone
- As a Christian symbol, it has been used to describe the Holy Trinity
- The three domains of earth, sky, and sea
- The three stages of birth, life, and death or,
- As a symbol of everlasting love thanks to its “eternal” knot
- The connection between present, past, and future
Ultimately the interpretation of the trinity knot is in the eye of the beholder, but whatever it means to the wearer, it makes them suitable for special celebrations or everyday use. They would make a fantastic gift and come presented in a gift box for that purpose.
In addition, these children’s sterling silver stud earrings have been hallmarked in Dublin Castle to ensure their authenticity.
